People have written articles about it, cricket fans have lashed out on Twitter about it but nothing seems to ruffle the feathers of Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI). They just don’t seem to care about women cricket’s coverage, especially when they are touring. It happened during the first three matches of the South Africa tour and now during Sri Lanka tour.
Not live telecast on TV, no scorecard on the bcci.tv website. You won’t see the mention of the India’s tour of Sri Lanka under international fixture schedules or the results.
If they want the women cricket to grow in India, to take it to the level that women Indian Premier League (IPL) seems possible, then they need to arrange for more coverage of the sport. At least show it on DD Sports, the sponsors may follow. Don’t you need it’s a risk worth taking for the richest cricket board in the world?
Till circumstances for women’s cricket coverage improve, here’s the live streaming of India vs Sri Lanka second ODI, thank us later:
