After all that Brad Hodge said about Virat Kohli played for money, it seems he has to take his words back again. It seems Virat Kohli’s injury is real and will be missing out the first two IPL matches. He is the most priced player in the Royal Challengers of Bengaluru unit and has been a regular fixture for them since its inaugural edition. He was first roped in as a 19-year old. But he soon came into prominence, once his bat started doing the talking.
When asked about it he said, “It’s still a few weeks to go until I can be 100 per cent on the field. These things happen, you have to take it in your stride and move forward.”
RCB and defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will lock-horns in the opening game of the 10th edition of IPL in Hyderabad on April 5.
RCB play their first two matches in the first week of IPL which is a week away and if Kohli does not recover, it is clear he will not take part.
Virat Kohli not playing for RCB will not bother them much as it is the starting of the tournament and of course with the likes of Chris Gayle, AB de Villiers and some more big names they will not miss Virat much.
