Brett Lee turns wrestler, spotted in Akhada performing Dangal | Watch Video

Former Australian speedster was no doubt a killer on the cricket field. His lightning fast bowling speed threatened numerous batsmen across the world. Apart from cricket, he proved his talents in the field of singing and acting in films as well. He had sung a song with legendary Indian singer Asha Bhonsle while acted in the film ‘UNidian’ as the lead. After achieving so much in his life, Brett has now turned a ‘Pahalwan‘ (wrestler). In a recent shared by the leading Indian sports channel, Star Sports, Lee was spotted in a ‘Desi Akhada‘ performing ‘Dangal’ where he hammered one of his opponents. However, he didn’t wear the Langot though.

What’s the actual matter?

The former Aussie spearhead is a part of the television commentary panel for the ongoing started Karnataka Premier League (KPL) 2017. In a promotion video, Lee featured as a wrestler where he locked horns with one of the tall, dark and healthy desi wrestler.

Unlike the other wrestlers featuring in the video, Lee sported grey shorts and a blue tee. He enters the akhada in a proper Indian style, i.e, first bowing against the arena, did Namaste and then several push-ups to warm himself. Later, he defeats one of the wrestlers within seconds and wins the bout!

Lee himself enjoyed being at the akhada for the shoot. The Australian fast bowler took to his official Twitter account and informed his fans about the Dangal he is going to participate in. He wrote,”Tune in to @StarSportsIndia today from 3pm IST to see my first ever attempt at the Ancient Indian Wrestling called Dangal.”

Brett Lee was also a part of the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) 2017 where he was one of the commentators along with Mathew Hayden and Dean Jones.
