St Lucia Stars is set to take on Trinbago Knight Riders in the opening match of the Caribbean Premier League 2017 on August 4. This is the fifth edition of the domestic T20 cricket league in West Indies. Total six franchises named Barbados Tridents, Jamaica Tallawahs, Guyana Amazon Warriors, Trinbago Knight Riders, St. Lucia stars and St. Kitts & Nevis Patriots will participate in this event. Darren Sammy will be leading the St Lucia Star side, while Dwayne Bravo is captaining the Trinbago Knight Riders side.

The first match between St Lucia Stars and Trinbago Knight Riders will be played at Darren Sammy National Cricket Stadium, Gros Islet, St Lucia. The match will start at 06:30 AM IST. The toss will take place at 6.00 AM IST.
