Australia is taking on Bangladesh today at the Oval. Bangladesh won the toss and on a placid wicket opted to bat. Remember, Bangladesh lost their first game after batting first, so it is commendable on Mushfiqur Rahim’s part to be batting first. Australia, who are a team in form have shared points with New Zealand in the last game that was washed off and hence this game for them is very important to press for the semi-finals. Bangladesh on the other hand have lost to hosts England in the opening match of the ICC Champions Trophy 2017, even after Tamim Iqbal scored a good 128. Bangladesh have defeated Australia only once, that was in Cardiff.

The score was 22 in the sixth over, they had got of to a sedate start but more importantly had not lost a wicket, that is when big Josh Hazlewood got the ball to pirtch and leave the left-handed Soumya Sarkar, who could only guide it to the safe hands of Matthew Wade, who moved to his left and pouched it, safe as a house. Bangladesh had lost their first wicket and the partnership which was looking promising had come to an end.
