India’s wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik gives his verdict ahead of India vs Pakistan’s ICC Champions Trophy 2017 clash on June 4. However, Karthik’s place in the side is still doubtful with as he would be either replacing Yuvraj Singh, Kedar Jadhav or Ravindra Jadeja in the team. The hype about the game has been building up even before a month of the clash as the fans across the world wait in the anticipation of who will emerge as a winner in the epic clash.
Amidst ‘War of words’ going around with former cricketers giving their take on the game Karthik had a different view, he said, “At the end of the day in a One-day match I think you know when we have pitted against each other, especially, a Pakistan-India match where the pressure is so much, it’s all about who can handle the pressure the better.”
The team that handles pressure better will do well. I am sure it will be a great game: @DineshKarthik weighs in on the #INDvPAK clash. #CT17 pic.twitter.com/srpY0kaizi

The 32-year-old also gave respect to the Pakistan team ahead of the game, as he said, “Both are good teams, I am sure it will be a great game of cricket.”
Karthik recently celebrated his 32nd birthday, his birthday bash video made rounds on the internet with teammates bashing his head on the cake making it a laugh riot and simultaneously a sneak-peak into Team India.
Karthik has strengthened his claim to a berth in playing XI after scoring a magnificent 94 helping India post a gigantic total on the board and winning by a massive margin. Karthik’s ICC Champions Trophy 2017 call-up came after Manish Pandey injured himself. His selection was criticised with veteran players Gautam Gambhir, Robin Uthappa and Suresh Raina doing well in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017.
