The moment is finally here as India lock horns with Pakistan once again at Edgbaston, Birmingham. There has been outrage on the match on social media with #WalkOutFromPakMatch after Major Surendra Poonia urging skipper Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni not to play the game. Not only this but the London terror attacks to have caused a major problem ahead of the game but as they ‘the show must go on’.

India’s combination dilemma:
As Kohli said it’s a good headache to have, the selection for the India vs Pakistan game will be a tricky one as most of the players are in good form. Choosing between Dinesh Karthik and Yuvraj Singh will be tough for Kohli. He hinted of Hardik Pandya being a sure shot in the playing XI, there might be a few surprises when the coin flips.

Pakistan surprises:
In the pre-match conference, Sarfraz Ahmed ruled out the possibility of including Junaid Khan in the side despite his wonderful record against Kohli. He has already declared the 12-man team for the match. Though it will be interesting which player gets left out of the playing XI.

What the captains had to say:
According to Sarfraz, the pressure is on Team India and not them as they have nothing to lose going into the fixture. On the other hand, Kohli feels it will be a normal game for them. He also requests everyone to focus on the game and not on false rumours of a rift between him and head coach Anil Kumble.

Pitch Report:
The Edgbaston pitch is supposed to be a batting paradise. We have already seen high scoring affairs in ICC Champions Trophy 2017 warm-up games. As Kohli said in the pre-match press conference, ‘No total is safe in ODIs anymore’.
