India got the better of Pakistan in their opening match, in a way it was a no-contest, India routed Pakistan by 124 runs. It was high-octane game as India and Pakistan are traditional rivals and a lot is at stake when the two Asian powerhouses meet. Pakistan have lost their opener, but they managed to humble South Africa, so it is one in two for them and for South Africa. If India and Pakistan qualify, India if they win against Sri Lanka today they are through and if Pakistan make it through as the second team, they could actually clash against India for the ultimate trophy.
In the other group, England have already made it and they could play Pakistan in the semis and if Pakistan pulls off a power-packed performance they could make the finals and India with the kind of form they have displayed, they should make it and if this happens, it will be the ultimate crowd pulling final. If this happens Sarfaraz Ahmed will be the happiest person as he will have another shot at defeating India.
Jumping for joy!

But, this is a hyperbolic situation, it happens or not still remains to be seen, we will not get fooled by Pakistan anymore, they are the most unpredictable team in cricket today. Going down memory lane, Pakistan played India twice in the inaugural 2007 WT20, in the league game they lost to India in a bowl out and then in the final Misbah-ul-Haq squandered it away in the final over. Pakistan has a 13-2 ICC record against India which is something not to be proud of.

The scenarios how this can happen: (Hyperbolic)
India vs Sri Lanka: India wins India qualifies into the semis.
Pakistan vs Sri Lanka: Pakistan beat Sri Lanka
India vs South Africa: India win, South Africa out, India, Pakistan qualify.
Semis: England v Pakistan, Pakistan wins
Semis: India vs Australia/New Zealand, India wins
Finals: India v Pakistan (Cricket fans will be dearly hoping this turns into reality)
If India qualify as 1 and Pakistan finish 2, then Pakistan will take on the table toppers from the other pool, which could be England. That will be a tight encounter, only and only if Pakistan win and India beat may be Australia or New Zealand they could make the finals, what a final it will be, a fitting finale.
