India vs Pakistan Final: Pakistan create history, beat India by a whopping 180 runs and win their first ICC Champions Trophy

The ICC Champions Trophy 2017 finals between India and Pakistan started with all the fans keeping their fingers crossed. Team India, who were the defending champions of the tournament, had the chance to create history under the captaincy of Virat Kohli. However, Pakistan, who qualified this tournament as the eighth-ranked team, turned out to be the dark horses and won the title for the first time in the history of the tournament. Sarfraz Ahmed and Co.’s brutal onslaught beat India by 180 runs and became the new Defending Champions of this world tournament.

In today’s big game, the Indian bowlers found themselves at the receiving end. They not only failed to take wickets but also couldn’t stop Pakistan’s flow of runs. Pakistan did a brilliant work with the bat and after losing 4 wickets they set a huge target of 339 runs to chase for India.

India lost its first wicket in the first over itself. Rohit Sharma, who scored a ton against England in the semi-finals, was out for a duck. Later Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan tried to control the inning but hey failed to do so. Kohli was dismissed for 5 runs followed by Shikhar Dhawan for 21. Yuvraj tried to play himself in but Shadab Khan got his wicket. MS Dhoni too disappointed by playing a loose shot to give his wicket.

Mohammad Amir was on fire as he took 3 wickets and dismissed Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan after picking Rohit’s wicket early on in the innings.

India lost its first five wickets within 54 runs while Hardik Pandya took it ahead for a while. After hitting 6 sixes and 4 fours, Pandya ended up scoring 76 runs off 43 balls before he got run out in the 27th over. Pandya was not happy with Jadeja at all as he lashed out at him.

Later, the tailenders including Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar couldn’t do anything special to sustain full 50 overs and lost the game by 180 runs with 120 balls to spare.

Earlier today, Skipper Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to bowl first. However, his this decision turned out to be a bad one later. Indians couldn’t restrict the Pakistan batting within a minimal score. Pakistan opener Fakhar Zaman emerged as the hero of the game as he played a fantastic knock of 114 runs 106 balls and helped his team to put a humongous score on the board,
