Pakistan players are on the ninth cloud after winning their maiden Champions Trophy title by beating India by a convincing 180 runs in the final of ICC Champions Trophy 2017. It is quite obvious that they will be celebrating. They refrained from popping the bottle of Champagne to celebrate their victory because of Ramadan, instead, they threw water at each other in the dressing room with the trophy and chanted ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ with almost all the team members.
While a few players were holding the trophy as it will be gracing their Trophy Cabinet now, whereas a few were throwing water at each other. Pakistan skipper Sarfraz Ahmed was delighted after he was trolled heavily on social media for his English speaking skills. Mohammad Hafeez was ecstatic as he performed well in the final despite going through a rough patch in the tournament.
While the highlight of the celebration was their fast bowler Junaid Khan who removed his shirt and danced during the Pakistan celebration. Junaid was not included in the first game against India despite having a fantastic record against Indian skipper Virat Kohli but made a fantastic comeback after Wahab Riaz’s exit from the tournament owing to his injury.

Imad Wasim, who is one of the youngest of the lot was in the front of the group chanting the name of his country. He too performed well throughout the tournament and got them back against South Africa. After winning the match he mentioned to commentator Sanjay Manjrekar that he can’t wait to join the celebrations.
