ICC Champions Trophy 2017, England vs Pakistan: Twitter got flooded with reactions, former cricketers to congratulated Pakistan for reaching the finals

Pakistan are having a near-fairytale journey in ICC Champions Trophy 2017 as they beat England and knock them out of the tournament. The runner-ups of the previous edition of the tournament were favourites as they were the hosts for the second edition on the trot. There were speculations that an India vs England final is in store but Pakistan had other plans. Pakistan beat England comprehensively as they destroyed England’s batting lineup and dominated them throughout the day, not letting them break free at any point of time.

Once again, it was the Pakistan bowling attack who delivered them and got them into the game straight away. Hasan Ali seems to be having a dream run in the tournament as he picked up the crucial wickets of Jonny Bairstow, Joe Root and Ben Stokes. All the players capable of changing the game on their own. Shadab Khan and Junaid Khan too bowled their heart out as they picked up two wickets each. Pakistan bowlers bowled so well that Stokes could not score a single boundary despite facing 64 balls.

Pakistan fielding too improved significantly as the fielders pulled off great catches to put immense pressure on the home side.

Great win by @TheRealPCB. To come back from the first game against india and now make a final by beating england shows great character.
