It was Bangladesh’s day as they indirectly knocked out the World Champions of cricket, Australia out of ICC Champions Trophy 2017. But, it was Ben Stokes and Eoin Morgan who made that dream come true that Bangladesh gets to play their first semi-final of any of the ICC event. England players turned out to be the ‘Knights in shining armours’ for Bangladesh fans who erupted in joy seeing their team qualifying for the semi-finals ahead of the World Cup 2015 finalists New Zealand and Australia.
Stokes’ century and Morgan’s 87 laid the foundation of England’s runchase as they were reduced to 3 for 35. Chasing a target of 278, England openers Jason Roy and Alex Hales followed by Joe Root got out early leaving their team in danger. But, Stokes and Morgan kept the required run rate in check and took their side home despite rain playing spoilsport at Edgbaston yet again, beating Australia by 40 runs (DLS method).

Not just cricketers, but Piers Morgan too did not refrain from taking a dig at the Australians who got knocked out of the tournament.
That was a ridiculous shot by @benstokes38 off Cummins. One of the best shots I’ve seen for a while!
