Mohammed Siraj, who played for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2017 Indian Premier League (IPL) season, saw his social media accounts hacked including Facebook, Instagram and his Gmail account. Apparently, the hacker happens to be a 14-year-old boy who is the son of a watchman. The hacker also sent ‘I Love You’ messages to all Siraj’s friends and whosoever existed in his phone contacts. Siraj got notified about the entire episode when his friends came and confronted him about the messages. It was the cricketer who finally had to convince his friends that he was not the person who sent the messages.
The pacer, who recently made his national debut in T20Is, approached the Cyber Crime cell of the Hyderabad commissioner and lodged a complaint about the mishappening. After this, he made a formal announcement on Instagram:

Here is what the investigation officer said,
“The hacker gave a cell phone number as the new password to access social media accounts of Siraj. We obtained the details of the cell phone number and realised that it was being used by a 14-year-old boy from Begumpet, who is the son of a watchman,”
