David Warner trolls England, praises Rashid Khan for supporting ‘good guys’ of Australia in Ashes

The Australians have been dominating the Ashes series right from Day 1. They are leading the series 2-0 and are on the verge of conquering the series

After conquering the first two Tests at the Gabba and the Adelaide Oval respectively, Australia is heading towards a series victory at WACA, Perth. Though the English had an elegant start on the first day, they couldn’t maintain the momentum of scoring runs on the Day 2. Some impeccable batting performances from skipper Steven Smith (239), all-rounder Mitchel Marsh (181) and supportive knocks from Usman Khawaja (50), Tim Paine(49) and Pat Cummins (41) allowed the hosts to put 662 runs on the board, thereby taking a lead of 259 runs.

Meanwhile, Afghanistan’s star spinner Rashid Khan took to his Twitter handle to congratulate the Aussie skipper who smashed a ravishing double hundred and anchored the innings. Rashid tweeted:

Wonderful to see classical double hundred from classical player @stevesmith49 well played mate love it #Ashes #AusVsEng

It was a heart-warming gesture from the Afghani bowler. Surprisingly, instead of Smith replying to this message, Australian opener David Warner answered perfectly to his Sunrisers Hyderabad teammate. He was impressed with Rashid as he was “supporting the good guys”.

Here’s the tweet:

Good to see you’re supporting the good guys https://t.co/Ylcowzx7kl

At WACA, during the 3rd Test, Smith spent almost nine-and-a-half hours at the crease after batting through the third day and scored the second double century of his Test career. Also, Mitch Marsh silenced his critics with his maiden Test ton. He scored 181 off 239 balls and smashed 29 fours.
