Australia’s star batswoman Ellyse Perry is known for her phenomenal batting skills. And recently, she proved that apart from being a class woman cricketer, she is a gem of a person too. During the match number 3 of the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) between Sydney Sixers Women and Melbourne Stars Women, the play stopped for a while when Perry rushed towards the crowd. She had hit a humongous six and the ball went into the stands and hit a boy in his head.
Perry came to know about the incident and ran straight to check whether that boy was ok. Her batting partner Dane van Niekerk and some of the Melbourne Stars players followed Perry to the North Sydney Oval fence.
The video of the incident was shared on the social media platform where Perry could be seen checking out if the situation is under control.

As per several Australian media reports, an ambulance was soon arranged at the venue while the boy was conscious. As learned from the reports, it was stated by one of the spectators (who witnessed the incident) that the ball flew over the fence, deflected onto a wooden chair and then struck the boy in the forehead.
Soon everything was back to normal after the boy received medical aid. The game began and the Sydney Sixers Women went on to register the highest team total in the BBL history. They put 242 runs on the board in 20 overs. Skipper Ellyse Perry smashed 91 runs while Ashleigh Gardner scored the fastest ever WBBL century. She reached his hundred in just 45 balls and ended up scoring 114 off 52 balls including 10 sixes and 9 fours.
