It seems there is no stopping Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli!
Though Pakistan Super League 2018 in progress, players mostly seem to be playing in front of empty stands. That not only undermines the impact of the tournament but also affects the revenue. Fans usually flock stadiums to watch quick Twenty20 cricket matches but organisers of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) are still struggling to generate enough interest in the tournament, where all the action is unfolding before empty stands. This comes even though the ICC gave clearance for the resumption of international cricket. Pakistan earlier was banned from hosting international matches following the attack on the visiting Sri Lankan team’s bus in 2009.

Earlier, the third season of the League kicked off in UAE last week amidst a lot of buzz but failed to attract crowds despite boasting top Pakistani players playing along with other international stars. The much-hyped opening ceremony featured performances from Pakistani music icon Ali Zafar, Sufi singer Abida Parveen and US rapper Jason Derulo. Even film stars such as Mahira Khan, Hamza Ali Abbasi and Fawad Khan have all made appearances in the PSL but still could not coax the fans to flock the stadiums.
