England Forward Harry Kane Draws Inspiration From Young Ben's Fight Against Brain Tumour

The power of Twitter proved once again

England are to play Sweden in the quarter-finals of FIFA World Cup 2018 and #itscominghome is already trending on Twitter already. But young Ben has already lifted the trophy. Ben has been diagnosed with brain tumour after undergoing six weeks of radiotherapy. Ben asked for the World Cup trophy a week before his therapy began. He looked elated to receive the trophy and posed for a photo as well.

Liam Herbert, one of the Specialist Pediatric Radiographer posted the video of Ben’s felicitation on his Twitter account. He even tagged England’s star forward Harry Kane in his tweet.

The tweet went viral and has over 5,00,000 views. The tweet managed to touch hearts of people including Kane, who promised that they’ll “do everything” on Saturday “to keep a smile” on the young boy’s face.

Former English footballer Rio Ferdinand shared the video too.

England had a tough time against Colombia in the pre-quarterfinals as they won the game in a 3-2 penalty shootout.

The last time England won the world cup was in 1966 by beating Germany by 4-2 in a controversial final. The next best result that England produced was in 1990 when they reached the semi-finals.
