First look: ICC Champions ‘trophy’ is out and the silverware looks ‘DAZZLING’

The silverware all the teams will be playing for has been unearthed in Somerset, England along with the ICC Women's world cup as well

With less than a month to go for the biggest cricketing extravaganza of the year ICC Champions trophy beckoning, the trophy is drawing limelight. The cricketing event will see 8 top cricketing nations battling it out against each other to stake claim on the coveted silverware. The event will be held in England, the supposed home of cricket. The event starts on the 1st of June and ends on 18th of June. There are still question marks hovering about the participation of India in the event.

Finally, the silverware all the teams will be playing for has been unearthed in Somerset, England along with the ICC Women’s world cup as well.

The ICC Champions’s trophy will be played in a round-robin format and not knockout, which means teams will get an extra opportunity to make the cut for the semis and finals.

The trophy has been travelling all over England and Wales and finally to Somerset. The hashtag the tournament is carrying is #NissanTrophyTour, the trophy tour is being sponsored by Nissan. In the first picture, you can see the trophy set in the picturesque backdrop of Somerset.
