India’s star wicketkeeper-batsman is set for ICC Champions Trophy 2017 as he poses for photos before the practice session. Dhoni who led India to glory in ICC Champions Trophy 2013 will be playing on the side as a wicketkeeper-batsman. In ‘behind the scenes footage from International Cricket Council’s (ICC)) Twitter account Dhoni can be seen adjusting his helmet at the start, striking a few poses for the photographer. These photos will be displayed when Dhoni would come to bat in the warm-up games and their first clash against Pakistan on June 4.
In the video, he can be seen holding the bat on his right shoulder and being clicked by the photographer from different profiles. At one point Dhoni could not understand which pose the photographer wanted. After a while, Dhoni put the bat on both his shoulders and got a few more photographs clicked.

Dhoni’s role ICC in the Champions Trophy 2017 as he needs to justify his ‘finisher’ tag. He has got the experience and speculations are that this might be his last Champions Trophy. Dhoni was the player who recommended the selection committee to keep a few players in the backup squad which includes young wicketkeeper-batsman and sensation Rishabh Pant.
Dhoni has not been in his form lately, his side Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) was defeated by the narrowest of margins in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 Final by Mumbai Indians (MI). He could not live up to expectations in the final and fell cheaply leaving his side in danger.
He has two games to get back into his form as India take on New Zealand and Bangladesh in the warm-up games. They will be going up against arch-rivals Pakistan on June 4.
