India A v Australia warm-up match, lunch report: David Warner, Renshaw depart, top order migraines remain

David Warner and Renshaw must have been eyeing to get some healthy runs under their belt but were dismissed early on in the piece.

Going into the India A v Australia warm-up match, the onus was on the Australians to get their combinations in order to feel upbeat while entering the first Test against India. David Warner and Renshaw must have been eyeing to get some healthy runs under their belt but were dismissed early on in the piece. So the top order of Australia does not have the body of runs in the three-day practise match against Hardik Pandya-led India A.

It will also be a big Test and an outing for the Australian spinners when they get the ball in their hand. Nathan Lyon will look to spin the web around the inexperienced blues’ who got a much-needed opportunity to show their mettle against the world-class Aussie side after their magnificent display in the domestic circle.

The first session did not see any big event happening apart from the dismissal of David Warner.

Navdeep Amarjeet Saini bowled really well and looks to have a big, promising prospect for the future. He even dismissed the old-fashioned left-handed Renshaw to take his wicket tally to two.
