Australian batting is struggling to survive against the Indian bowling attack, even skipper Steven Smith has accepted that it is happening too frequently. Smith is concerned as their batting has not clicked yet. One of the reasons behind it is a good start, the opening stand has not done wonders for Australia yet. Opener David Warner has not found his rhythm yet, he is not getting any help from the batsman at the other end as well. Opener Hilton Cartwright is struggling to make a mark, he made a terrible debut by scoring just 1 runs from 8 runs in an ODI that got converted into a T20 chase. The second ODI was not that promising either, that’s why Australia need Aaron Finch back in the side.
Finch is one of the fiercest hitters of the ball in world cricket at this moment. He can get Australia off to a flier, releasing pressure straight away. He has had experience batting on Indian pitches because of his IPL stint batting for Gujarat Lions. Finch is not fully fit, he is pushing himself in the practice session and it can be clearly seen. Finch might be the answer to Australia’s batting woes despite the batting collapse they have been facing of late.
Finch has scored five fifties and 1 hundred against India in the 13 ODIs he has played till date. He played a major role in the India vs Australia limited over series in 2015-16. He was seen helping the Australian fielders in the second ODI at Eden Gardens, Kolkata as they were struggling with the heat.

What David Warner has to say-
“It’s good signs to see him back in the nets and he’s doing everything possible to be fit for this game. We know what he’s going to bring. He’s a very good batter, he’s played a lot of cricket over the past couple of years, he’s got a lot of experience and for us at the top of the order, he brings a lot of aggression,” Warner said.
Cartwright has just scored 2 runs in 2 innings which is not what you expect from a youngster. Finch is a big game player and he can turn the tables in the do-or-die affair at Holkar Stadium, Indore on September 24.
