Well-known cricket writer from Australia, Dennis Freedman, has sparked a fresh controversy after he shared a post on social media site Twitter, insulting the Indian map. Dennis, known for his quirky pieces on cricket, posted this controversial tweet during the India-Australia third One-Day International (ODI) which was being played at the Holkar Stadium in Indore on September 24. Team India thrashed the Australians by five wickets despite Aaron Finch’s 124 runs knock. With this win, Virat Kohli & Co clinched the five-match series by 3-0. Hardik Pandya, the all-rounder, was awarded the Man of the Match.
Dennis on Sunday took to his Twitter handle to share the controversial map of India which had the state of Jammu and Kashmir missing, and compared it to a ladies’ ‘panty’. He captioned the image as: “Just got sent this by a woman on Facebook. Not sure why she put a map of India in the pic though.”

Earlier on September 12, Dennis tried to troll Indian skipper Virat Kohli by calling him a ‘Sweeper’. He posted a picture of Virat Kohli with a broom in his hand and captioned it as: “Sweepers clean the stadium in readiness for the World XI match”.

He referring to Kohli a “sweeper” angered Indian cricket fans including Harbhajan Singh, who defended Kohli and called Dennis “a stupid guy”.
Meanwhile, Steve Smith-led Australian side, who have now lost the ODI series 0-3, will take on India in the fourth match at Bengaluru on September 28.
