Stone thrown at Australia Cricket Team bus after 2nd T20I win over India. Finch had a close shave!

Australia's 8-wicket win sets up the 3-match T20I series beautifully, Hyderabad promises to offer a thriller

David Warner’s Australia played out of their skins to beat India by 8 wickets in the 2nd T20I and level the series. But, it seems this miffed the cricket crazy fans of India, one of whom decided to target the Australian cricket team bus. When the Australian team was returning to the hotel after the win, a rock or a stone was hurled at the team bus. The stone also broke the window of the bus. Aaron Finch, the Australian opener took to Twitter to inform the world about this gaffe incident. “Pretty scary having a rock thrown through the team bus window on the way back to the hotel!!,” Finch tweeted after the win in Guwahati. This incident will surely raise alarms about the safety of visiting teams.

The photo he posted on Twitter showed a shattered window pane with a large hole.

Himanta Biswa Sarma, a senior minister in the state government, apologised to the visiting team. The good part is that nobody got injured.

Our deep apology. People of assam never endorse such behaviour.we will punish the guilty. https://t.co/3IYYSoME0y

This is a shrill reminder of the bus attack that took place in Pakistan, almost a decade ago. But the nature of the two attacks is totally different. A CA spokesman told AFP “local authorities are investigating and we are satisfied with the levels of security provided”.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli’s winning streak against Australia in T20I has finally been halted, thanks to a fiery spell of fast bowling by Behrendorff. He picked up 4 wickets but more importantly sent Virat Kohli packing for a duck. This win should give David Warner’s Australia a lot of confidence going into the decider that will take place on October 13 in Hyderabad.
