Twitterati blame Virat Kohli for Rohit Sharma's runout, watch the whole incident and decide!

The runout of Rohit Sharma turned out to be the turning point of the game as Rohit was on the top of his game taking on the Australian bowlers at will

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma once again had a huge mix-up, but this time it was the latter who got runout and it raised a huge number of questions. It can be considered as the most horrendous runout after the runout fiasco between Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja in the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 final. Before coming to the conclusion, know what happened on the last ball of the 23rd over. Richardson bowled a short-pitched delivery to Kohli who punched it towards point, skipper Steven Smith was present there and he dived to save the ball from going towards the boundary. What happened next turned the match in Australia’s favour.

Smith saved the ball and threw it towards Mathew Wade in one quick motion. By then, Kohli had called Rohit for a quick single. On seeing that Smith had fielded the ball and is throwing it towards the striker’s end, Kohli went running back. But, Rohit did not get the signal. On realising that he was on the wrong end, Rohit rushed back to the non-striker’s end. On the other hand, Smith was signalling Wade to throw it towards the non-striker’s end. Richardson caught hold of the ball and took the bails off before Rohit could make it home.

The runout changed the dynamic of the match as Rohit got out for 65 runs from 55 balls when the score was 135 for 2. Kohli got out soon after leaving India in deep trouble. Twitterati were not happy with Kohli as they held him responsible for the runout.

Here are a few tweets-

India lost the match by a margin of 21 runs as they kept losing wickets at the ending stages of the game and Australian bowlers bowled in right areas. Australia ended their drought of wins overseas and ended Kohli’s win-marathon of 9 wins on the trot.
