Ever since Virat Kohli-led Team India lost in the finals of the ICC Champions Trophy to Pakistan, the Men in Blue have been in a great form. Since the ICC Champions Trophy, India won in West Indies and then repeated the same in Sri Lanka and now are on the brink of whitewashing Australia at home. India currently lead the 5-match One Day International series 3-0. Virat Kohli has made his intentions clear, he wants to prepare a team for the 2019 cricket World Cup. Team India is already the number one team in ODIs and Tests. In Tests, India has 125 points followed by South Africa, who are at two with 110 points. In ODIs, India has 120 points, whereas South Africa is just one point behind India.
But Virat Kohli-led team India is at the fifth spot in the T20 rating with 116 points, whereas New Zealand is the number one team in T20’s with 125 points.
Now, Virat Kohli has also set a target of achieving number one spot in all three formats by the end of 2017. It is difficult, but not impossible.
Here is how they can achieve it.

India will play 3 T20I’s against Australia, followed by 3T20I’s against New Zealand. So in total, they will be playing 6 T20I’s in the next two months. Now, if India manages to win all its T20I matches, they will shoot up to the numero uno spot in T20’s as well.
India will play the 5th ODI versus the visiting Australian side on October 1, which again promises to be a high-octane match.
