Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag tormented bowling attacks from around the world in his prime. He also has a 219 as his highest score that was made against West Indies at Holkar Stadium, Indore. There is a startling similarity that panned out during the 3rd One Day International between India and Australia at the same venue, where Virender Sehwag got his memorable 219. For starters, India beat Australia in the 3rd ODI at the Holkar Stadium to claim a 3-0 unassailable lead in the series. Virender Sehwag, who is very active on social media was stumped by a fan of his, who caught him off guard, literally.
So here’s what happened:
Virender Sehwag’s highest score in ODI’s is 219 vs West Indies. The Indian batting lineup of Ajinkya Rahane, Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya got 70, 71, 78 respectively against Australia. After the match, Virender Sehwag took to Twitter to congratulate team India on their emphatic win. His post read, “Congratulations India on a wonderful series victory. Great 3 70’s from Rohit, Rahane, Hardik. Comprehensive performance throughout #INDvAUS.”
A certain fan found the similarity between Virender Sehwag’s 219 and the string of 70s. The shocking similarity must have clean bowled Virender Sehwag, we are certain, so much so, that he even retweeted it.
The username ‘Medical Kiss’ replying to Virender Sehwag’s tweet wrote this, “70, 71 & 78 by Rahane, Rohit & Pandya…. Add these to get 219 which was your highest ODI score, scored in this same Indoor Holkar Stadium.”

It is strange but a rather startling coincidence!
Well, India will now be looking for yet another whitewash of the mighty Australians, something that has never been achieved in the past.
