Indian fast bowlers gave all the hopes to the Indian fans right in the beginning but Moises Henriques and Travis Head turned all the odds in their favour and won the 2nd India vs Australia T20I game by 8 wickets. The Aussies had a few hiccups at the beginning of the game after the opening pair of David Warner and Aaron Finch was dismissed early. But Head and Henriques were determined to finish the game without losing any more wickets. As a result, Australia won the game with 28 balls to spare.
Earlier, the Aussie stand-in skipper David Warner won the toss and elected to bowl first. After trembling terribly in the beginning, the last five overs of India were very crucial for the Indians. The two batsmen – Kuldeep Yadav and Hardik Pandya – put all their efforts to the take the team total beyond 100 runs benchmark. Pandy tried to anchor the inning and got ample support from the Indian Chinaman from the other end. Pandya kept hitting big shots while Kuldeep was regularly rotating the strike. In the 17th over, Pandya hit a humongous six off the first ball and in the same over, Team India crossed the 100-run barrier. He was the last hope for the Indian team and fans but soon Marcus Stoinis hunted him down and Pandya was out for 25. In the last over, the men in blue were all out and could only post 118 on the board.
