Virat Kohli had a clear intent before he decided not ask Bangladesh to bat again. Barring openers, Indian batsmen responded to the call and scored at a brisk rate to give Bangladesh a massive target of 459 to chase in four sessions. Cheteshwar Pujara scored another half-century in one-off Test at Hyderabad. Pujara scored 54 from 58 deliveries.
Indian openers KL Rahul and Murali Vijay got out early leaving India 2 for 23. Kohli and Pujara took charge of the proceedings. Kohli timed the ball with perfection, he tried to score as many boundaries as he can. Surprisingly Pujara too batted with almost run-a-ball strike rate. He even hit a six off a bouncer which amused Captain Kohli. The skipper got out for 38 trying to hit a boundary.
Boundaries dried up for a couple of overs after Kohli departed. Ajinkya Rahane took a few deliveries to settle. Rahane too shifted from first gear to fourth in a matter of balls. He too scored boundaries, he got out to a stunner of delivery from Shakib Al Hasan which uprooted the middle stump.
