India vs New Zealand 1st T20I Live Streaming: Watch Live Coverage on Star Sports 1, 3 & Live Streaming on Hotstar

If Ashish Nehra is selected in the playing XI, it will be his last match which he will play at his home ground of Feroz Shah Kotla

The live streaming of India vs New Zealand 1st T20 International will start at 7:00 PM IST. Ashish Nehra makes a comeback into the side. A big change in the side, Shreyas Iyer to make his debut. India takes on New Zealand in the 1st T20I on November 1 at Feroz Shah Kotla stadium in Delhi. India have never beaten New Zealand in the T20I format. Virat Kohli will surely be hoping to change things around. Virat Kohli’s Team India beat the visitors 2-1 in the recently concluded One Day International series. Indian captain Virat Kohli also bagged the Man of the Series on the back of the two centuries he scored in a winning cause. It is expected to be a challenging battle for the Men In Blue because the Kiwis are the number one team in the T20I format. India, on the other hand, is placed at the 5th spot. India can climb up the rankings if they beat New Zealand 3-0, which would be really difficult.

Meanwhile, Ross Taylor has been recalled in the Kiwi line-up after 19 months since he last represented the New Zealand side in T20Is. For Team India, the spotlight would be focused on the old dog Ashish Nehra, who would be playing for the last time. Nehra announced his retirement ahead of the tournament and ironically would be playing his last game at his home ground of Feroz Shah Kotla. Two debutants have been included in the squad, the promising seamer Mohammed Siraj and wicketkeeper-batsman Shreyas Iyer. When will they selected for a match remain to be seen?

Record: 5-0 in favour of New Zealand.

Strength:

New Zealand: The Kiwis have aggressive batsmen at the top of the order. Colin Munro and Guptill are expected to strengthen the batting department apart from Williamson, Latham and Ross. In the bowling department, Boult is the only bowler who can serve as a potential trouble to the Indian batsmen. Apart from him, the Kiwi bowling line up looks thin.

India: The Indian arsenal possesses some of the most explosive cricketers currently active in the world, with Shikhar, Rohit and Virat among the top batsmen. Apart from them, Hardik Pandya and the important cog in the wheel MS Dhoni would also be playing. In the bowling department, India is blessed with arguably the best death over bowlers in the world in Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah with the latter topping the ICC T20I bowler rankings.

Weakness:

New Zealand: Their top order has not played consistently in the ODIs which can be a big concern for the Kiwis in the upcoming T20I series. Even in their bowling department, apart from Trent Boult, no other bowler stands as a potential challenge to the Indian batting lineup.

India: The home side does not have a weakness as such apart from the top order having problems while encountering the left-arm seamer Trent Boult.
