After winning their previous two games against England and West Indies, the Indian women’s cricket team will be taking on the Pakistan Women’s team in their 3rd game of the group stages. The Indian women have been extraordinary so far in this tournament and they will surely be eyeing on winning this game against Pakistan in order to continue their winning streak. On the other hand, Sana Mir & Co. will be looking to conquer this must-win game as they have failed to win a single match in this tournament. They have lost their previous 2 games they played against South Africa and England respectively while they are left with two more games including today’s game against India.
After Indian men’s cricket team lost the ICC Champions Trophy final to Pakistan on June 18, the Indian fans would be hoping that the women must take the revenge of men in blue’s defeat to their arch rivals.
The ODI match between India and Pakistan will be played on Saturday, June 24, 2017, at County Ground, Derby.

Indian Women
The team look high in confidence after they outplayed the Englishwomen and then the Caribbeans. In both the game, opener Smriti Mandhana has played a swashbuckling knock while she was awarded as the Player of the game in the second match against the Windies Women. Also, she is the second highest run-getter of this tournament. Secondly, skipper Mithali Raj is currently in best of her forms and have played phenomenally good in both the matches.

As far as the Indian bowling is concerned, the highest wicket takers in the ODIs, Jhulan Goswami has a lot to do on the bowler friendly English conditions. Apart from her, Deepti Sharma, Ekta Bisht and Poonam Yadav would like to continue their bowling consistency. This trio has given just 69 runs in their 30 overs and has dismissed 7 batswomen so far.

Pakistan Women:
The Pakistani Women’s team is still struggling hard to open their account in the tournament. Sana Mir & Co. have lost all their games so far and are at the last position in the points table. The first game they lost to South Africa in a close encounter while in the next game they lost the Englishwomen by a big margin of 270 runs.

In the batting department, the openers Nahida Khan and Ayesha Zafar have contributed with their half-centuries but rest of the team has not done anything special so far. Players like Javeria Khan, Nain Abidi and Asmavia Iqbal have to pull up their socks if they need to win this must-win game.
Good luck team Pakistan for the #WWC17 clash against India. Give it your very best!
