Bollywood and cricket make for a lethal cocktail and the recent wedding of Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma is just another example. But how does Hardik Pandya become a part of the cocktail? With their backs against the wall in the first innings, Hardik Pandya came to India’s rescue by scoring a breathtaking 93, missing out on a hundred narrowly. But it was Pandya’s knock that helped India to a position of dominance after reeling. For that, former cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar recently compared Hardik Pandya with Amitabh Bachchan.
Sanjay Manjrekar’s wrote:
Like Amitabh Bachchan used to play those double roles, Hardik Pandya also showed two characters in his superb innings. The modern T20 player along with the orthodox classical Test batsman.#INDvSA #HardikPandya #SonyTen1
— Sanjay Manjrekar (@sanjaymanjrekar) January 7, 2018
Manjrekar tried to explain that Pandya’s versatility in both the shortest and longest formats of the game can be compared to how Amitabh Bachchan used to play conflicting personalities in movies Don, Sooryavansham and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.
