Heinrich Klaasen became an overnight sensation after he guided South Africa to a 5-wicket victory against India at Johannesburg in the 4th ODI. 26-year-old Klaasen’s blinder of 47 off 27 balls proved to be the gamechanger. The blistering knock also helped the hosts stay alive in the 6-match ODI series, which stands at 3-1. Earlier in the day, Virat Kohli won the toss and opted to bat first. India put up 290 for the hosts to chase. Shikhar Dhawan reached the milestone of the 13th century in his 100th ODI match, which was a record. The South Africans began to chase but it started raining soon after. The revised equation was, hosts needed 202 off 28 overs, which looked within their grasp considering they had wickets in hand.

The night belonged to Klaasen, who was an unknown figure before the match but became a star and it seems his form will now see him be a permanent fixture in the ODI setup.
