Indian captain Virat Kohli will be eyeing 3-0 victory over the Sri Lankans in the three-match Test series starting in Kolkata from November 16. With a clean sweep in Tests over the Lankans, Virat Kohli will break former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly’s record and will take the second spot behind MS Dhoni as the most successful Indian captain in terms of victories in Test matches.
Dhoni, who retired from Test cricket following the drawn Test against Australia at the MCG in December 2014, is currently at number 1 spot with 27 wins from 60 matches. Ganguly is second with 21 victories in 49 games. Kohli is third with 19 from 29.
If Virat Kohli wins all three Tests then he will take the second spot behind MS Dhoni.
