Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Rohit Sharma took India to victory in the 3rd One Day International at Pallekele. India has now taken a 3-0 unassailable lead. Before the start of the series, questions were raised over the former skipper’s future with respect to the 2019 cricket World Cup. Dhoni remained not out in back to back matches, silencing his critics in the best possible way. He was 45 not out in the second ODI when India was rolling down the barrel and then in the 3rd ODI, where he combined along with Rohit Sharma and remained 61 not out. MS Dhoni has shown us all again that he is Mr. Cool and will rise above expectations when required.
But what made news from Pallekele was the fact that MS Dhoni had happily gone off to sleep. You may be wondering why and how? The match was interrupted by agitated fans, who had started hurling water bottles in the ground. The play was stopped as the organizers and umpires started discussing how to deal with the crowd. In the meanwhile, MS Dhoni took some time off and quite interestingly had a shut-eye moment. It is unusual as we rarely see such instances on the field of play.
