India takes on Sri Lanka in the last and final One Day International at Premadasa, Colombo. India has already taken a 4-0 lead in the series and would be dearly hoping to whitewash the hosts again in coloured clothes after the won the Test series 3-0. The big news from the Indian camp is the fact that in form opener Shikhar Dhawan won’t be featuring in this fixture as he had to fly back to India, to be beside his ailing mother. According to the grapevine, Ajinkya Rahane who has been warming the bench all this while may get a game. Virat Kohli as he has already hinted will try out other combinations and permutations, looking ahead at the 2019 cricket World Cup. Sri Lanka after losing the 4th ODI, have missed the chance to get an automatic selection in 2019 WC, and would now be at the mercy of other teams to qualify.
For Sri Lanka, Lasith Malinga will have a huge role to play as a captain and a frontline bowler. They will also hope that Matthews and Kapugedara, Thirimanne fire with the bat.
