A chance for India to seal the ODI series and continue their tour with another win and take a step towards whitewashing another series. Virat Kohli & Co were seen sweating it out in the nets after the middle order batting collapse at the same venue. They sure would have done their homework in order to tackle Akila Dananjaya, the spinner who canceled his honeymoon to haunt Indian batsmen.
Will Manish Pandey play?
The previous ODI saw Kedar Jadhav struggling in both batting and bowling department. It might be a possibility that Pandey who has been out of the side for a while now due to injury makes his way back into the middle order. Also, Hardik Pandya suffered an injury and was limping on the field. He might get replaced by Shardul Thakur and Pandey gets a nod ahead of Jadhav.
Pitch Report:
The Pallekele pitch has no demons in it. The Indian batsmen could not read the mystery spinner Dananjaya and ended up losing wickets in a flurry. It is not a batting paradise but 300 plus scores are expected if India bats first. Sri Lanka batting order will have to do a much more to threaten India in the 3rd ODI and keep the series alive.
