It seems Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli and Bollywood starlet Anushka Sharma are having the time of their lives in Sri Lanka. India thrashed Sri Lanka in the 1st One Day International at Dambulla by 9 wickets to take a 1-0 lead in the 5-match ODI series. With form and luck on Virat’s side, it seems the lovebirds are taking every advantage they can of their Lankan tour. Last week, the couple were seen together obliging fans with pictures and autographs. They were also seen planting saps in a bid to promote ecology. It seems with Anushka in Lanka, luck is shining for the men in blue.
Earlier, Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli remained not out to see India through to a victory in the opening ODI. Dhawan, who bagged the man of the series in the Tests, seemed like he resumed from where he left off. Dhawan scored 132 not out and Kohli scored 82 and he too remained not out.
With things in order and control for team India, Virat Kohli took time off to spend time with Anushka Sharma and go out on a sightseeing spree. On Monday morning, Kohli opted to spend the day amid Sri Lankan nature with a backdrop of elephants taking a swim. Kohli tweeted, “Recent day out around these gentle giants! __ Such innocence and playfulness was blissful to see. __”.
