The Indian Cricket team is coming up with different ways to celebrate its historic win over Sri Lanka in the recently concluded Test series. Initially, the team mates had dinner together and were seen hanging out around their hotel premises. Once they ensured their win after leading the series by 2-0, they chilled and relaxed in the hotel’s swimming pool. And soon after the series whitewash, some of the players took their celebration to an entirely different level. They went on to the streets of Kandy to celebrate the victory together.
This was something that was never seen before. Shikhar Dhawan, who smashed a total of 358 runs in 4 innings and was awarded the Man of the Series Award, became an auto driver in Kandy and took his mate Hardik Pandya for a ride. Playing a Punjabi song in the vehicle, they both seemed to enjoy the auto ride. Dhawan sat on the driver seat and took control of the vehicle while Pandya sat on the passenger seat and shot the video. Dhawan later shared the video on his official Instagram handle. He gave the caption to the video as: “Daddy D di Auto Rickshaw Ride @hardikpandya03.”

After performing exceptionally well in the Test series, this came as a much-needed break for them. Both Shikhar and Hardik played magnificently in the Tests. Dhawan, who was back in the Test squad after almost 9 months, played fearlessly against the Lankan bowlers in all the games. He smashed 2 tons in 3 games and was the highest runs scorer of the series.
Well deserved Historic Series win..First time clean sweep abroad ..Well done boys..

Also, the debutant Hardik Pandya too had a wonderful series. He scored a fifty in the first game as well as knocked a heroic century which turned out to be a game saver and helped India achieve the record of a historic series win.
Couldn’t have asked for a better start in whites! Cheers to the whole team #289
