After smashing Sri Lanka in the first One Day International at Dambulla, India came to Palekelle for the 2nd ODI. Virat Kohli-led team India won the toss and elected to bowl first. India was professional and disciplined in their game to keep Sri Lanka down to 237. On a pitch, as Virat Kohli mentioned would be good to bat under lights. Siriwardena was the top scorer for the hosts, he scored 58 at a run-a-ball but then gave his wicket away. From the Indian camp, Jasprit Bumrah was the pick of the bowlers as he picked up 4 big wickets. Chahal was impressive with the ball as well, he scalped two wickets.
But the event we are focussing on in this article is how Jasprit Bumbrah cleaned up Chamara Kapugedara with a peach of a yorker. This happened when the score was 221, in the 47th over. Kapugedara was playing really well, until the time he got out. He scored 40 and had stitched a healthy partnership with Siriwardena to see the hosts to a position of respectability. Jasprit Bumrah has been in impressive form for India ever since he came into the side a couple of years ago. He has grown leap and bounds.

The ball was bowled from wide of the stumps and it ended up at the base of the stumps, a delivery every bowler will dream off.
After the Sri Lankan innings ended, rain started pouring in and India’s chase was hence delayed. But when it started it was reduced to a 47 overs match, where India needs to get 231 runs to win. This should surely not affect India and their mindset.

If India wins this match, Virat Kohli has hinted that there could be changed in the squad.
