The focus must shift back to cricket, because as they say, ‘the show must go on’. Welcome to inUth’s live digital coverage of India vs Windies. It was supposed to be the continuation of what has been a great ICC Champions Trophy 2017 tournament, instead, India will be looking for a start over as they start their West Indies tour against a rather inexperienced side. Indian skipper Virat Kohli has made his stand clear on the sparks that were created after Anil Kumble’s controversial resignation.
Windies who have changed their name from West Indies will be looking for a fresh start. Following the controversies between West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) and the players, the ODI series will miss out on big names like Chris Gayle, Dwayne Bravo, Kieron Pollard, Suni Narine etc.
There has not been a build up for this ODI series like the recently concluded ICC Champions Trophy but it will surely be the build up of something even bigger, the ICC World Cup 2019. Windies will be starting their quest to move up the ladder in ICC ODI rankings and end up at, at least No. 8 position before cut-off date September 30.

India’s ODI ranking has taken a hit too, from being the No.1 side in the world they have dropped to the third spot. They have just one rating point between them and Australia which might be changed if India performs well in the series. A whitewash will ensure India pipping South Africa to go on the top.
Weather Report:
We might see a few overs deducted as the weather forecast shows cloudy weather at Trinidad. DLS might get into play which means the team winning the toss will be inclined to win the toss and bowl first. DLS might come into play, but, India have gotten used to it after Champions Trophy 2017.
