The Indian cricket team had a successful run under the captaincy of Virat Kohli in 2017. They won 37 matches out of 53 in this calendar year, which the highest by any team. It has been a phenomenal home season for the men in blue, while their performance in away series (against Sri Lanka and West Indies) was outstanding. With 8 bilateral ODI and 9 Test series on the trot, they hold the 2nd position in ODI and T20I team rankings and are currently the best test team in the world.
After achieving all this in 2017, Virat Kohli & co are all set to face a new set of challenges in the coming year, starting with the Test series against the Proteas. However, after their South African tour, there is a long cricketing schedule waiting which includes the IPL 2018, two away tours, one home series and the Asia Cup in September 2018.
