The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on January 10 announced the Indian women’s cricket squad for the three-match ODI series in South Africa beginning February 5.
Mithali Raj will lead the 16-member squad while Harmanpreet Kaur will be her deputy.
17-year-old Jemimah Rodrigues, who scored 84 runs from 93 balls at a strike rate of 90.32 in the just concluded Challengers Series 2018, has gotten her maiden call. Besides her 84-run knock, Jemimah also scored a double century in the Under-19 One Day Competition held in 2017.

- 202 runs from 163 balls vs Saurashtra
- 178 runs from 142 balls vs Gujarat
- 153 runs from 138 balls vs Rajasthan
Besides Jemimah, the selectors have also picked up a backup wicketkeeper Taniya Bhatia.

Besides ODIs, Indian women’s team will also play five T20Is against South Africa for which the squad will be announced later.
