Virat Kohli led Team India will be travelling to Ireland to play two T20Is prior to their tour of England in July, the Board of Control for Cricket in India announced on its official website BCCI.tv on January 10.
The two T20Is will be held in Dublin on June 27 and June 29, 2018.
India last toured Ireland in 2007 when they played an ODI at Belfast, which the visitors won by nine wickets (D/L method). India have played Ireland just once in the T20 format when the two sides met in Nottingham during the 2009 ICC World T20.
Team India is currently in South Africa for 3 Test matches, 6 ODIs and 3 T20Is. South Africa is currently leading the three-match Test series 1-0.
After South Africa tour, which will conclude on February 24, Indian players will play in the local cricket league, Indian Premier League (IPL) in April-May. The auctions for the IPL season 11 will be held on January 27, 28 in Bengaluru.
During their over two-month long England’s tour, Team India will play 3 T20Is, 3 ODIs and 5 Test matches starting from July 3 to September 7.
