India have a firm foot on winning the Test match, which was apparently Bangladesh’s first Test on Indian soil, seventeen years after getting the Test status. The batsman from India had piled on a mammoth 687 for 6 before declaring. From the home side, there were two tons and a double ton, Kohli, not for the first time and surely not the last he shattered umpteen records. Bangladesh got into bat after chasing the leather for an hour shy of two days. The pitch tough was not misbehaving and that would be the only glimmer of hope for a team that was looking downhill.
Virat and Co. would be looking to wrap this in under four days and for that to happen, Ashwin and Jadeja would have to wreck havoc. The pitch will surely offer something and it would also be interesting to see whow Kohli uses his bowlers, keeping Australia in his mind. Will he over bowl Ashwin or give him short spells?
Bangladesh need a massive effort if they want to save the Test match which, for now looks way beyond their grasp.
