The motive was to make IPL-10 a big success and to make sure that the grand Indian cricket tournament should be organised in the best way.

Both the BCCI factions, CoA and GC – including IPL chairman Rajiv Shukla and former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly – stood on the same ground when it came to fixing the venues and the logistics. The participating bodies are already promised for the financial assistance for a smooth run.

Rajiv Shukla chaired the meeting in the presence of CoA chief Vinod Rai. The meeting concluded with the decision that Mumbai would host the First Qualifier while the Eliminators is scheduled in Bangalore. The final of IPL-10 is scheduled in Hyderabad.

After the meeting, both Vinod Rai and Rajeev Shukla interacted with the press and said that their collective motive is to make IPL-10 a grand success. I’m here just to implement the Lodha reforms and I don’t have any difference of opinion with anyone.”

“Our motive is to make sure that IPL-10 gets maximum success. We got the support of Vinod Rai, who is the head of the CoA,” said Rajiv Shukla.

The board has also decided to felicitate the 5 gems of Indian cricket – Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman and Virender Sehwag – at the opening ceremony.
