Gautam Gambhir is all set to play for the Delhi Daredevils (DD) in the forthcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). After leading the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in seven consecutive seasons and winning two IPL titles in 2012 and 2014, he was released from the side. And now, not only the KKR fans but team owner Shah Rukh Khan has started missing the Delhi boy.
Recently, Shah Rukh was asked by a fan on Twitter to describe Gautam Gambhir in a single line. The Bollywood superstar came with an instant reply stating that their former captain will be missed.

Snubbing Gautam Gambhir from KKR was no less than a shock to the fans. The team didn’t even use their Right To Match (RTM) card to retain their previous skipper. On the other hand, DD would be happy to get the 36-year-old cricketer for a very reasonable price.
Earlier in 2011, Kolkata wanted a new bunch of players and a new face to lead the side. Hence, they parted ways from Sourav Ganguly and bought Gambhir for a whopping Rs 11.04 crore.
The next year, Gambhir led his team into the finals and won the first ever IPL title for KKR. In 2014, once again he was retained by the team and he won the IPL that season too.
