Bringing an end to speculations, Dinesh Karthik was appointed the captain of Kolkata Knight Riders for the 11th edition of the Indian Premier League. It is a big move as Gautam Gambhir, who had successfully led KKR, was bought by Delhi Daredevils. Robin Uthappa, Chris Lynn were the others in the race to become captain, but Karthik edged them out. Twitterverse went into a tizzy when this news came to light. KKR fans were divided over this decision as some felt that Robin Uthappa was a better choice to helm affairs at KKR, as he has been a part of the mix for a long time.
