Virender Sehwag is going to come out of retirement to replace Aaron Finch in KXIP’s IPL opener, that is what the KXIP Twitter handle indicated on April 1…and all news-hungry journalists fell for it, knowing very well that it was #AprilFoolsDay. Going by the statement released by KXIP CEO, it felt Virender Sehwag in all likelihood would feature against Delhi Daredevils in KXIP’s tournament opener. It would have been a treat for Virender Sehwag fans who absolutely love him.

Sehwag, who is also quirky and witty on Twitter, could be behind hatching this April Fool’s Day prank. The ever-so-witty Sehwag confirmed it via a video posted on KXIP’s official page.

Sehwag has been a part of the KXIP franchise and was very much a part of the team at the auction table. In all probability, he will play the role of a mentor in the KXIP scheme of things.
