Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) pacer Andrew Tye justified his Rs 7.20 crore price tag after he became the first bowler in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 season to pick three four-wicket hauls. Tye achieved this feat during Match Number 50 between KXIP and Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on May 16.
Tye also joined the list of elite pace bowlers with most four-wicket hauls in IPL. Former Mumbai Indians player and mentor Lasith Malinga tops the list of pacers. He claimed four-wicket hauls five times, while Laxmipathy Balaji and Andrew Tye are at number 2 with 4 times and Munaf Patel, Bhuvneshwar Kumar are at number three with 3 times.

Right-arm pacer from Australia, Tye returned with figures of 4/16 in his quota of 4 overs after Punjab skipper Ravichandran Ashwin won the toss and opted to field against Mumbai in a must-win game.

Tye picked up the wickets of Suryakumar Yadav, Evin Lewis, Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya. He single-handedly destroyed the mighty MI batting line-up as they finished at 186 in the allotted 20 overs.
Besides Tye, Ravichandran Ashwin picked two and Ankit Rajpoot, Marcus Stoinis claimed one wicket each.
