IPL 2018: CSK Players Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja & Others Reach Mumbai For Opening Game – See Pics

The 11th edition of the IPL will kickstart on April 7 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai

Chennai Super Kings players, including Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja among others, arrived at Mumbai on March 3 for the opening game of the Indian Premier League 2018 against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium on April 7. CSK team is making a comeback after a two-year suspension owing to the spot-fixing scandal that rocked the IPL in 2013.

The 11th season of IPL is expected to kick-start with a glittering ceremony. Many Bollywood stars on the likes of Parineeti Chopra, Varun Dhawan and Jacqueline Fernandez will reportedly perform at the opening ceremony.

Only two captains — MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma — will attend the opening ceremony. Other captains like Virat Kohli (RCB), Ajinkya Rahane (RR), Kane Williamson (SRH), Gautam Gambhir (DD), Dinesh Karthik (KKR), R Ashwin (KXIP) will not attend the ceremony due to logistical reasons.

The opening game will start at 8 PM IST on April 7 and the toss will be held at 7:30 PM.

Meanwhile, CSK officials took to Twitter to share the pictures of their players and captioned it as: ‘Here we come, Mumbai! #WhistlePodu’

CSK skipper MS Dhoni is expected to join his team later in the day as he was in Delhi to receive the Padma Bhushan award on March 2. President Ramnath Kovind conferred him with India’s third-highest civilian award for his contribution to the sport.
